This affordable housing development is the first of its kind in Anchorage: it successfully employs a townhouse-style design, rather than the apartment buildings previously used for housing at this price point.

The new neighborhood includes 121 units, each with off-street parking and a private entrance that gives the impression of arriving to an individual house. This layout prevents surface parking from dominating the neighborhood, allowing for more usable green space.

The successful execution of this project sets the stage for future townhouse-style affordable homes.
